I can't function without a few cups of coffee a day. Which brand depends on how broke I was last time I went to the store -- if I was broke, it's Eight O'Clock, which is good and cheap. If I just got paid, it's a local company that sells in some of the grocery stores around here: Sweetwater Organic Coffee. It's fair-trade, local and carbon-neutral, so I like to support them when I can. Sadly 9 bucks a pound is usually more than I can pay. But their coffee is very good!!

Ah, Sanka instant. I remember that stuff from my childhood. My parents would drink it when money was tight. They were both coffee addicts, but we didn't have electricity, so no coffee machine. So we always had instant, with more goat's milk (we raised goats) and sugar than coffee.
My mom saw my coffee press mug (you just put the grounds and hot water in and push the plunger down and voila, coffee!) once when she came over and said, "Wow, I wish we'd had one of those!"
